今日から7月。1年の半分がもう終わったとはびっくりだ。

午後に慶應病院眼科・鳥居先生との面談。白内障手術の初診。

眼の検査を何種類かしてから先生との面談まで1時間以上を要した。
LASIKの時期とか、見えにくくなった時期とか、過去の病歴とか問診。
右目にはメガネでは矯正できない乱視があるとこのと。
また、希望の眼内レンズ選択肢の説明。Mutlti焦点で遠・中にフォーカスshちあものだとグレアがでにくいということなので選択。費用は片目700千円くらい。単焦点の10倍。
来週に別の検査（眼底検査）を行い、それから手術の日程などを話すとのこと。

慶應は信頼おける医療技術があるのだが、大病院特有の待ち時間の長さが疲れる。

慶應病院にて2回目の眼の検査。一週間前の初診の時とは別の種類の検査。

検査のあと医師と面談。
As a result of the examination, surgery using intraocular lenses for cataracts was possible. Multifocal can also be used. I was told that even with distance/intermediate-range lenses, there is a possibility of severe glare and flare after surgery because the astigmatism in my right eye is so bad. （ただし、遠・中レンズをつかっても右目は乱視がひどいので術後もグレアやフレアが酷い可能性あるとのこと。）

白内障の手術の日程は以下に決定。

2週間前の健康診断の結果についての医師との面談。

なにやらremarks がありびっくり。

・LDLコレステロール値が高い。139までが標準値のところ、161ある。半年後に再検査が好ましい。
・糖尿傾向が少し見られる。経過観察。
・空腹時血糖値 87 (健康標準値が110、126以上だと糖尿病。低血糖の場合は70mg/dL以下)
・HbA1C 5.6 （正常値は5.9以下、6.56以上だとPlusで糖尿病）
このように、糖尿病の傾向を判断する2つの計数は両方とも正常範囲なので、なにが問題なのか問題が不明。どちらも 次回に要質問。 ・尿素窒素が低い（7.8）。標準値は8-21mg. 腎機能障害の疑い。ただし水を多く飲む人の場合は数値が下がることもある。経過観察


待ち時間を合わせて1時間かからなかった。

広尾でヘアカット。

11：07のバスに乗ろうと思っていたのだが、前日にWebで確認したのとタイムテーブルが違う。バス停に貼ってある時刻表には11：07のバスはなくて11時台は11：35のみ。それでは間に合わないので地下鉄（大江戸線〜日比谷線）で広尾へ。バス停の前が地下鉄の駅なので助かる。

スタイリストのAさんは、6月15日に2人目が生まれたのでもうじき一週間の夏休みをとって赤ちゃんと過ごすのだそうだ。生まれてすぐのベイビーと過ごせる唯一の時期なので貴重なひと時を過ごせるね、と応答。

60分でカット終了。いつもどおり完璧！

New footwear.

This new foot wear is a pair of sport sandals I bought as a replacement because my beloved Teva sandals had finally worn out after 15 years+ of use.
Although the padded straps feel soft against the skin, the overall design of this new pair is quite wide; even when tightened to the maximum, they still felt loose.

That’s when I came up with this idea. I tried wearing socks, and that did the trick―the fit became excellent, and they were vastly more comfortable to wear.

It was my first time wearing socks with sandals―something I’d never even considered before―but it turned out not to be bad at all.

Problem solved.

BTW, this pair of sport sandals are Arnold Palmer brand and relatively inexpensive (3,000 yen).

LDのA/CのDust Bin清掃。

Flat PanelはDust binと掃除用のロールブラシのアッセンブリー部分が昇降するのでとても便利。 「フラットパネル」を選んで本当に良かった。

埃は少ししかたまっていなかったが、それでも「自動お掃除」がちゃんと行われていることが確認できた。Yay.

Dust Binの掃除は細かい埃が舞うので次回からはマスクをすること

I hereby declare the healing of the black toenail completion

Today marks a special milestone: my "darkened nail" has finally fully healed. It has been eight months since the symptoms first appeared; a new nail has completely grown in, and it has returned to its original state.

（今日は特別な節目となる日です。ついに、あの「黒ずんでいた爪」が完全に治りました。症状が現れてから8ヶ月が経ち、新しい爪がすっかり生え揃って、元の状態に戻ったのです。）

Now that it’s back to normal, it might be hard to tell from a photo alone which nail was affected, but the one that has "been reborn" is the nail on my middle finger.

Birthday Celebration in Nasu




Restaurant and Bakery "PENNY LANE"


Spent the day celebrating my birthday in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture―about a three-hour drive from Tokyo. We started with lunch at the restaurant PENNY LANE. As the name suggests, the place is filled with Beatles memorabilia.



The food was delicious, too; the potato and vegetable pie wrapped in pastry―topped with a peace sign―was pretty tasty.

Minamigaoka Farm
After lunch, we took a walk at a nearby farm, "Minamigaoka Bokujyo". With the temperature around 80°F and the weather fine, it was an enjoyable stroll.

Heading to a ”Michinoeki”, a twenty-minute drive from the ranch. On the way, a passing shower occurred, and a large rainbow appeared.

It was my first time at Costco, but the store's appearance and systems were just like Sam's Club, where I have been so many times.

帝国Hは安定のおいしさとサービス。わたしはポテトサラダ、関野くんはローストビーフと飲茶がベストだったみたい。 14：40ごろ撤収、1Fのガンチャロフでパンを買い外にでたら雨が降り出したのでTAXIで帰路に着く。

所用で新宿に行く時は新宿御苑を通って行くことが多く、この日も例外ではない。

よく手入れされた花壇の花は時々入れ替わるので観察。

花壇は花というより、そこで作業する昆虫の観察が楽しい。
この日は、丸い熊蜂が蜜をせっせとあつめていた。

ここで不思議が・・・ 熊蜂といえば、リムスキー・コルサコフの楽曲『クマンバチの飛行』が知られている。この題名だが英語だと "Flight of the Bumblebee" 。
バンブルビーは日本語だとマルハナバチだ。

同じ曲の題名なのに日本語と英語では異なっているのが不思議なのだ。

もともと、この2つの種類のハチはどちらも丸っこい大型の体で混同されやすいのだが、トップ画像のカーペンタービー（熊蜂）は顔も腹部も真っ黒で毛が生えていなく頭部の下にのみ黄色い毛の生えた部分がある。

一方、バンブルビー（マルハナバチ）は腹部が毛で覆われており黄色い帯状の模様が入っていることがよくある。
